Introduction and Note
The Harlem Renaissance was a cultural movement that started from the 1920's and went into the late 1980's. This 60-year time period was full of cultural spikes in art, literature, and music. Most of these rising artists were African Americans residing in the flourishing town, Harlem, hence the name of the movement.
When we think Harlem Renaissance we think Louie Armstrong, Langston Hughs, and Duke Ellington. But there were so many other contributors to this movement, which is what we have done. Enjoy!
